Statement as of 6:08 PM CST on February 28, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon CST
Sunday...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and ice remains in effect until
noon CST Sunday.

* Short term trends... snow will continue into the evening hours
causing some additional minor accumulations.

* Timing and areas affected... the Winter Weather Advisory is in
effect for extreme southeastern Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks
through Sunday morning.

* Snow accumulations... 3 to 5 inches of storm total snow.

* Ice accumulations... less than one tenth.

* Impacts... the combination of falling and accumulating snow as
well as a thin glaze of ice will make travel conditions hazardous.
The Kansas and Missouri departments of transportation continue
to report snow covered roadways along with numerous slide offs
and accidents.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and ice will
cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and
limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
