Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 4:17 AM CST Feb. 14, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 am CST
Monday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 am CST
Monday.

* Timing... Sunday through Sunday night.

* Snow and sleet amounts... 2 to 4 inches will be common
today... with the greatest amounts expected over west Kentucky.
If sleet develops quickly in the morning hours... lesser amounts
can be expected.

* Ice accumulations... a few hundredths will be possible mainly
across southeast Missouri... the southern tip of Illinois and
into western Kentucky. Most of the ice accumulation will occur
on top of snow and sleet this afternoon and tonight. If the
transition occurs sooner than expected... up to a tenth of an
inch will be possible.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions will develop quickly with
the onset of steady precipitation this morning. Visibilities may
be reduced under a mile in the heavier snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
