Wind Chill Advisory
Statement as of 4:00 AM CST on February 27, 2015

... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10 am CST this
morning...

A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 10 am CST this
morning.

* Wind chill values... wind chills will range from 15 and 25 below
zero early this morning.

* Impacts... frost bite will occur in a matter of minutes on
exposed skin. Extended exposure without proper clothing will
increase the risk of hypothermia.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves... and minimize as much exposed skin as possible.

Special Statement
Statement as of 3:50 AM CST on February 27, 2015

... Snow accumulations likely Saturday night into Sunday...

Snow will spread northeast across central and southeast Illinois
during Saturday evening and continue into Sunday. The snow will
mix with or change to rain in southeast Illinois Sunday afternoon
as temperatures climb into the middle 30s. Current indications
suggest the potential for 4 to 6 inches of snow in areas north of
I-70... with the heaviest snow band from I-72 north. Between 1 and
3 inches of snow is possible from I-70 south with most of this
snow expected to fall Saturday night into Sunday morning. Winds
will generally be near 10 mph or less during this time period so
this will limit the amount of blowing and drifting snow.

If you have travel plans across the Midwest Saturday night and
Sunday... check with later forecasts as additional changes to the
track of the storm are possible... which will lead to adjustments
to snow totals and precipitation types.
