... Significant weather advisory for southern Jackson... northern
Bennett and east central Shannon counties until 1030 PM MDT...

At 947 PM MDT... Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles north of Potato
Creek to 7 miles north of Batesland... and moving east at 45 mph.

Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Martin... Potato Creek... Wanblee... Allen... Long Valley... Tuthill...
Swett... Hisle and northeastern lacreek wildlife Refuge.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM MDT for
southwestern South Dakota.
