Statement as of 3:31 AM CST on March 03, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until noon CST today...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... sleet and freezing rain... which is in
effect until noon CST today.

* Timing... through late morning.

* Snow accumulations... up to 2 inches.

* Ice accumulations... around a trace.

* Winds... south 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Visibilities... under a half mile at times in bursts of heavier snow.

* Temperatures... rising to around 30.

* Impacts... the sleet or snow may result in hazardous travel through
the morning commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and be careful while
driving.

Special Statement
Statement as of 3:17 AM CST on March 03, 2015

... Moderate to heavy snow at times through 6 am...

Before snow changes to sleet and ends this morning... several hours
of moderate to heavy snow can be expected along and north of
Interstate 80. The snow will vary from being light... and mixed
with sleet... to very large flakes at times. A quick accumulation
of 1 to 2 inches is likely before sunrise this morning. Snow
covered roads and low visibilities can be expected.

219 am CST Tue Mar 3 2015

... A slick combination of snow... sleet... and freezing rain moving in...

A large area of mixed winter precipitation will spread over all of
eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois... and continue over northeast
Missouri and west central Illinois through 6 am. Expect slick
conditions on untreated roads. Use plenty of caution if
traveling... as temperatures are not expected to rise above
freezing through 8 am.
