A slow moving band of thunderstorms and showers will move across
the region from west to east. The strongest storms will produce
torrential rainfall with rates over 2 inches an hour. Many locations
will pick up over an inch of rain in a half hour or less.

Significant ponding of water in low lying locations will occur in
areas that receive heavy rainfall rates. Motorists should slow
down and avoid standing and running water across roadways.
