... Flash Flood Watch in effect from 7 PM CDT this evening through
Wednesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Iowa... south central
Iowa... southeast Iowa and southwest Iowa... including the
following areas... in central Iowa... Jasper... Marshall... Polk...
   Poweshiek and Tama. In south central Iowa... Appanoose...
Clarke... Decatur... Lucas... Madison... Mahaska... Marion...
Monroe... Ringgold... Union... Warren and Wayne. In southeast
Iowa... Davis and Wapello. In southwest Iowa... Taylor.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Wednesday morning

* thunderstorms producing very heavy rainfall are expected across
   the watch area beginning in the late evening hours tonight.
   Rainfall amounts of one and two inches... or higher will be
   possible.

* Area soils are already saturated from previous heavy rainfall.
