The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at New Harmony.
* Until Friday morning.
* At 8:30 PM Monday the stage was 17.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Friday morning.
* Impact... at 19.0 feet... surrounding bottomland is flooded. Harmonie
State Park is closed.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Hazleton.
* Until Wednesday afternoon.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 20.9
feet this afternoon.
* At 20.0 feet... most of the low bottomlands flood. Flooding begins in
higher bottomlands. High water affects any residents in Pottsville
river Cabins. Pottsville Road... north c street on river side of
Railroad tracks and catt street near U. S. Highway 41 are flooded.
Water is near or starting on Giro Road in the vicinity of submerged
Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields flood. Flood gates must be
installed at Hazleton.

* Until Thursday evening.
* At 9:45 am Monday the stage was 22.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Thursday morning.
* At 22.9 feet... water begins to flow over River Road just north of
fifth street in The Mount Carmel area.

Statement as of 3:10 AM CDT on July 28, 2015

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 9 PM CDT this evening...

* afternoon temperatures in the lower 90s combined with oppressive
humidity levels will produce heat index values in the 105 to 110
degree range this afternoon generally along and east of a line
from Perryville Missouri to Clinton Kentucky. West of this line
an excessive heat warning is in effect today. Please refer to
the warning for additional details.

* A heat index of 105 is generally considered the threshold
where the body begins to succumb to the effects of the heat...
making heat exhaustion and heat stroke a greater concern if
precautions are not taken.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures and high
humidity levels are expected. This combination will create a
situation in which heat illnesses are possible. If you work or
plan to spend much time outside... take frequent breaks and drink
plenty of fluids. If possible... stay in an air-conditioned
