Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 4:13 PM EDT on July 06, 2015

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Noble County in east central Ohio...
northwestern Monroe County in east central Ohio...

* until 715 PM EDT

* at 412 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallenin the area of
Mount Ephraim. If thunderstorms persist over the area... a Flash
Flood Warning may be needed.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Caldwell... Dudley... Summerfield... Sarahsville... Dexter City...
Stafford... Batesville... Harriettsville and Seneca Lake park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

Please report flooding by calling 4 1 2... 2 6 2... 1 9 8 8... posting
to the
NWS Pittsburgh facebook Page... or using twitter at nwspittsburgh.
