The National Weather Service in Jackson KY has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Johnson County in northeastern Kentucky...
northwestern Floyd County in southeastern Kentucky...

* until 630 am EDT Monday

* at 1225 am EDT... flooding was still ongoing across northern Floyd
County and Johnson County. Fast rising waters have
subsided... however water will continue to run high along larger
creeks and streams as runoff makes its way downstream.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Miller
Creek... State Road Fork... Spurlock creek... trace Fork... Mary
branch... corn Fork... Sycamore Fork... Rockhouse Fork... Lick
Creek... left Fork Middle Creek levisa Fork... greasy
Long Branch... Bull Creek and little Paint Creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected.
However... all interested parties should take necessary precautions
immediately.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. If flooding is observed act quickly. Move up to
higher ground to escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to
flooding when water begins rising.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

Areal Flood Advisory, Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 11:23 PM EDT on July 05, 2015

The National Weather Service in Jackson KY has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
north central Letcher County in southeastern Kentucky...
southeastern Knott County in southeastern Kentucky...
southeastern Floyd County in southeastern Kentucky...
southwestern Pike County in southeastern Kentucky...

* until 215 am EDT

* at 1120 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated nearly stationary showers
containing moderate to heavy rainfall across the advisory area.
Excess runoff will cause minor flooding of creeks and
streams... roads... and roadside culverts... particularly in poor
drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pikeville... Coal Run Village... Wheelwright... Greenleaf... Tillie...
HI Hat... ehkhorn mine... Lester... Sackett... Craynor... Buckingham...
Coal Run... Beaver... Osborn... Speight... Dry Creek... Melvin...
Omaha... BUckhorn Hollow and Lucastown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
