* until 330 am EST Friday

* at 327 PM EST... flooding was still occurring across the area due
to flooding along portions of the Big Sandy... Kentucky... and
Licking River basins.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 715 PM EST Thursday for
Clay... Perry... Johnson... southwestern Knott... southern Lee...
northeastern Floyd... Breathitt... northwestern Harlan... Leslie...
Owsley... Martin... southeastern Morgan and Magoffin counties...

At 423 am EST... a mixture of sleet and snow was ongoing... and
expected to change over to all snow this morning... before tapering
off by late this afternoon. However... runoff from heavy rainfall and
snow melt that occurred Tuesday night and Wednesday has resulted in
flooding of some area creeks and streams within the warning. Expect
flooding to continue in these locations through at least this
afternoon.

* Flood Advisory for
the levisa Fork Big Sandy river at Prestonsburg.
* Until late Friday night.
* At 7 am Thursday the stage was 32.5 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 40.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 38.0 feet by this evening.
* At 40.0 feet... low lying areas flood.

... Slick Road conditions will continue through early Friday
morning...

Slick roads will continue through tonight and into early Friday
morning due to the recent snowfall. With subfreezing temperatures
expected tonight... any melted snow will likely refreeze on
roads... adding to the danger. The subfreezing temperatures will
also be harmful to people and animals who are outside.
