Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 2:34 AM CST on March 05, 2015

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST /noon
CST/ this afternoon...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST /noon
CST/ this afternoon.

* Timing: periods of moderate to heavy snow will continue into the
morning hours. Snow will taper off this afternoon.

* Accumulations: 3 to 6 inches of snow. Light ice accumulations
possible as well.

* Main impact: snow covered roads and dangerous travel
conditions. Snow rates may be intense... resulting in rapid
accumulations and low visibilities.

* Other impacts: north winds gusting up to 20 mph tonight. This
combined with the weight of the snow could result in scattered
power outages and downed tree limbs.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Travel will be treacherous with some roads nearly impassable.
Have an emergency kit of blankets... food... water and flashlights
if you must travel. Power outages are likely.
