... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon CST today...
... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to
6 am CST Friday...

* timing... through noon CST today. Snowfall will begin to taper
off by late morning. Very cold temperatures... accompanied by
light winds late tonight will produce very low wind chills.

* Accumulations... for locations south of Interstate 40 and
generally along and east of Interstate 65... an additional one
half to up to one inch of snowfall is expected.

* Wind chill values... around minus five late tonight.

* Main impact... additional snowfall will continue to cause major
travel impacts through Friday... and possibly into Friday night
as well.

* Other impacts... temperatures are likely to stay below freezing
over most of the area through Friday night... although sunshine
should help to melt some of the snow and ice during the day on
Friday. Many roadways will remain slick and hazardous for an
extended period of time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
