... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon CST
Thursday...

* timing... through noon CST Thursday.

* Accumulations... 2 to 5 inches of snow and sleet are expected
with the highest amounts closer to the Kentucky state line and
Interstate 65... and lowest around Interstate 40. Freezing rain
accumulations are expected to be around a tenth of an inch...
with some higher amounts of ice possible near Interstate 40
and the Cumberland Plateau.

* Main impact... precipitation will be a mix of freezing rain and
sleet... with all snow developing overnight. This mixed
precipitation will create major travel impacts from tonight tonight

through midday Friday. This will likely keep many roadways
slick and hazardous for an extended period of time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
