Freeze Warning
Statement as of 4:54 AM CDT on March 29, 2015

... Freeze warning remains in effect until 9 am CDT this morning...

* timing and areas affected... north Alabama and portions of southern
middle Tennessee through 9 am CDT this morning.

* Temperatures... ranging from around 20 degrees in portions of
southern middle Tennessee to around 30 in urban areas and near the
larger lakes early this morning.

* Impacts... any living vegetation and crops that are susceptible to
freezing temperatures may be damaged or killed. In addition... due
to the long duration of below freezing temperatures along with
clear sky conditions and light winds... widespread frost is likely
to occur across the area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
