... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 PM CST this
afternoon...

* timing and areas affected... rain is expected to transition to
freezing rain through 6 am Thursday morning... and then to freezing
rain and sleet in the late morning across much of the Tennessee
Valley. This includes the counties of Lauderdale... Colbert...
Lawrence... Limestone... Madison... Morgan... DeKalb... Jackson...
Marshall and Cullman counties in northern Alabama... and Lincoln...
Moore... and Franklin counties of southern middle Tennessee.

* Accumulations... ice accumulations between one quarter to three
tenths of an inch... and sleet and snow accumulations of around a
half an inch are likely.

* Impacts... widespread hazardous traveling conditions are likely
across northern Alabama due to the ice and sleet accumulations
on roads and bridges.
