Areal Flood Watch
Statement as of 3:03 PM EDT on August 01, 2015

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday morning...

The Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of northern Florida... including the following
Alachua... Columbia... Gilchrist... Hamilton... Marion and ...
Suwannee.

* Through Sunday morning

* locally heavy rainfall of several inches over already saturated
ground.

* Training of storms will make long durations of moderate to
heavy rainfall possible. Already saturated soils means most
rainfall will not have an opportunity to be absorbed into the
ground. Expect ponding of water in low lying areas and areas
prone to flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
