The Flood Warning continues for
the Little Manatee River at Wimauma
* until further notice
* at 5 PM Monday the stage was 11.2 feet
* flood stage is 11 feet
* the river will continue rising to near 12.7 feet by Wednesday morning then
begin falling.
* Impact... at 13 feet... the canoe rental area floods.
* Impact... at 11 feet... the river overflows its banks.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 14.3 feet on Sep 26
2013.

The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northwestern Hillsborough County in west central Florida...
Pinellas County in west central Florida...

* until 1045 PM EDT

* at 741 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers
and thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding
in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Tampa... Clearwater... largo... Pinellas Park... Seminole... Lutz...
feather sound... Egypt Lake-leto... University... East Lake... greater
Northdale... south Highpoint... Ridgecrest... Palm Harbor... town 'n'
country... Harbor Bluffs... Keystone... Lake magdalene... Citrus Park
and greater Carrollwood.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water in
urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of west central and southwest Florida... including the
following areas... in FL... coastal Charlotte... coastal
Hillsborough... coastal Lee... coastal Manatee... coastal Pasco...
coastal Sarasota... inland Charlotte... inland Hillsborough...
inland Lee... inland Manatee... inland Pasco and inland Sarasota.
In west central Florida... Pinellas.

* Through Tuesday evening.

* If possible... clear drainage systems of any debris which may
become clogged in flooding rains.

* Saturated soils and the potential for additional heavy rainfall
through Tuesday evening will continue the threat of flooding for
coastal counties from Hernando southward to Lee.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible during the next
24 to 36 hours. Residents living in flood prone areas should take
action to protect property.
