* at 9 PM Monday the stage was 7.8 feet
* flood stage is 8 feet
* the river is forecast to rise above flood stage by after midnight tomorrow and
continue to rise to near 8.3 feet by Wednesday morning.The river is expected
to fall below flood stage by Saturday morning.
* Impact... at 8 feet... flooding begins at the Recreation Area on State Road
54.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 8.8 feet on Sep 30

for
the Anclote River at Elfers
* until Friday afternoon
* at 9 PM Monday the stage was 22.5 feet
* flood stage is 20 feet
* the river will continue rising to near 23.3 feet by Wednesday early afternoon.
The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Friday morning.
* Impact... at 23 feet... evacuation recommended for residents of Anclote River
estates. Over 300 homes in the area may need to be evacuated.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 23.9 feet on Apr 2
2011.

The Flood Watch continues for

following areas... in FL... coastal Charlotte... coastal
Hillsborough... coastal Lee... coastal Manatee... coastal Pasco...
   coastal Sarasota... inland Charlotte... inland Hillsborough...
inland Lee... inland Manatee... inland Pasco and inland
Sarasota. In west central Florida... Pinellas.

* Through this evening

* if possible... clear drainage systems of any debris which may
become clogged in flooding rains.

* Saturated soils and the potential for additional heavy
rainfall through Tuesday evening will continue the threat of
flooding for coastal counties from Hernando southward to Lee.
