Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 5:44 PM EDT on July 03, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* north Georgia... generally north of a line from Carrollton... to
Atlanta... to Washington.

* Through Sunday morning

* periods of heavy rain will once again move across north and
central Georgia after midnight tonight and intermittently
through Sunday morning with an additional 1 to 3 inches of
rainfall. Isolated higher amounts will be possible.

* Saturated soils from rainfall over the past few days along
with the additional rainfall expected may cause flash flooding
of roadways and especially around creeks... small streams... low
lying and urban areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Turn around don't drown!

You should monitor future forecasts and be prepared to take
action should flash flood warnings be issued.
