Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 3:25 AM EST on March 04, 2015

... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST this
morning...

* locations... areas across north and central Georgia mainly north and
east of a line from Blue Ridge to Marietta... Macon and Swainsboro.

* Visibilities... one quarter of a mile or less.

* Timing... through 10 am.

* Impacts... dense fog will create low visibilities through the
morning commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to
less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your low-
beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Special Statement
Statement as of 2:45 PM EST on March 03, 2015

... Mixture of sleet and light freezing rain possible Thursday
morning into afternoon for portions of far north Georgia...

Rain will likely transition over to a mixture of sleet... light
freezing rain... and possibly light snow on Thursday as the next
round of Arctic air pushes in from the northwest behind a strong
cold front. Areas along and north of a Rome to Jasper to
Blairsville line have the best chance for any light accumulations. For
now... sleet and snow amounts up to one quarter inch... and a light
glazing of freezing rain are possible. Locally higher amounts
cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will be quickly dropping through
the day... so any slick spots on roadways may continue to be of
concern into the evening as well.

Due to the continued uncertainty concerning this event... anyone
with interests across north Georgia are urged to remain alert for
any changes in the later forecasts.
