Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 6:09 PM EDT on July 04, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* areas in north Georgia generally along and north of a line
extending from Franklin to Covington to Washington.

* Through Sunday evening

* periods of heavy rain will continue across north and central
Georgia tonight and intermittently through Sunday evening with
an additional 1 to 3 inches of rainfall. Locally higher amounts
will be possible.

* Saturated soils from rainfall over the past few days along
with the additional rainfall expected may cause flash flooding
of roadways and especially around creeks... small streams... low
lying and urban areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Turn around don't drown!

You should monitor future forecasts and be prepared to take
action should flash flood warnings be issued.
