The Flood Warning continues for
the Santee river near Jamestown.
* At 9 am Thursday the stage was 10.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast, the river will rise to near 10.6 feet by early Friday
morning then begin a slow fall.
* At 10.0 feet, water covers numerous logging roads and inundates
Timber land adjacent to the river. Most access points to wee tee
state Forest are cut off.

Statement as of 10:19 AM EST on March 05, 2015

... Dense fog advisory remains in effect until 6 PM EST this
evening...

* timing... patchy to areas of dense sea fog across the local
waters... will occasionally push onshore and slightly further
inland throughout today.

* Visibility... the sea fog will frequently reduce visibility to
below 1 mile at times... and occasionally to near 0 at times.

* Impacts... the lowered visibility... especially when
encountering the dense fog exhibiting near 0 miles... will make
for extremely hazardous driving conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter
mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave
plenty of distance ahead of you.

Statement as of 3:25 PM EST on March 05, 2015

... A strong cold front with very gusty winds will move across
Georgetown... Horry... Williamsburg... Florence... Marion... Pender... brun
swick... New Hanover... Bladen... Columbus and Robeson counties through
615 PM EST...

At 321 PM EST... Doppler radar indicated a very strong cold front
moving across southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South
Carolina. The boundary extended from near Elizabethtown in Bladen
County North Carolina south and west to near Florence in Florence
County South Carolina. Sustained winds of 30-40 mph can be expected
with gusts of 40-50 mph as this front moves offshore during the next
few hours.

Some locations impacted include Burgaw... Carolina Beach... Conway...
Elizabethtown... Garden City... Georgetown... Kingstree... Lake City...
Leland... Little River... Marion and Mullins.

Hazards include...
gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph.

Thunderstorms can pose a variety of threats including gusty winds...
small hail... cloud to ground lightning... and localized flooding. It
is recommended that you remain indoors until the storms pass.
