The Flood Warning extended for
the Neuse River at Kinston.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At10 am Monday the stage was 13.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to
rise to near 14.8 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impact... at 15.0 feet... minor low land flooding adjacent to the
river can be expected.

the Contentnea Creek near Hookerton.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At10 am Monday the stage was 13.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 13.9 feet by
early Thursday morning then begin falling.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... low land flooding adjacent to the creek can
be expected. Water may begin to reach some secondary roads in
Lenoir County.
