... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Tuesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Tuesday morning.

* Accumulations... 4 to 8 inches of snow and sleet. Less than a
tenth of an inch of ice.

* Locations... western Greenbrier County.

* Hazard types... dangerously low wind chills into early Sunday
followed by snow... sleet and some light icing.

* Wind chill readings... as low as 20 to 25 below zero.

* Timing... dangerous wind chills through Sunday morning. Snow
developing by Sunday evening... continuing into Monday before
changing to sleet and some freezing rain.

* Impacts... dangerously low wind chill values will quickly lead to
hypothermia and frostbite if not properly protected from the
cold. Hazardous travel due to snow and ice covered roads.

* Winds... northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph...
diminishing late tonight.

* Temperatures... 2 below to 11 above zero.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and
strong winds will create dangerously low wind chill values. This
will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions
are not taken.
