... Winter Storm Warning in effect until 1 PM EST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect until 1 PM EST
Monday. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.

* Hazard... snow. Transitioning to rain Monday afternoon.

* Snow accumulations... 3 to 6 inches of snow. Heavy snowfall
rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour along the I-64 corridor between
7 PM and 1 am.

* Timing... now through 1 PM Monday.

* Impacts... untreated roads will be come snow covered... creating
hazardous travel conditions. Snowfall rates may be too high for
plows to keep up.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
