... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 9 am Thursday to
midnight EST Thursday night...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 9 am Thursday
to midnight EST Thursday night.

* Areas affected: Accomack County.

* Hazards: snow and sleet... then snow late Thursday afternoon
through early Thursday evening.

* Timing: rain will mix with sleet by late Thursday morning. A
transition to a snow/sleet mix is expected Thursday afternoon.
Precipitation ends as all snow by mid afternoon Thursday
through early Thursday evening.

* Accumulations: 2 to 3 inches... along with trace amounts of ice.

* Temperatures: mid 30s... falling into the upper 20s by early
Thursday evening.

* Winds: north 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

* Impacts: roads will become snow covered by mid to late
afternoon Thursday. Visibilities will drop to around a quarter-
   mile at times Thursday afternoon and early evening... making
travel dangerous.
