... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST this
morning...
... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 7 PM this evening to 7 PM
EST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 7 PM this
evening to 7 PM EST Thursday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer
in effect.

A Winter Weather Advisory for freezing rain and drizzle remains in
effect until 7 am.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches... along with
brief period of sleet and freezing rain.

* Hazard types... heavy snow... and a sharp drop in temperature.

* Ice accumulations... little if any ice accumulation.

* Snow accumulations... 4 to 8 inches.

* Timing... patches of freezing rain and drizzle will change to
plain rain after 7 am. Untreated roads will remain icy until
around 7 am. After a brief break... snow will move back into the
area by late afternoon or early this evening. The snow will
continue into Thursday.

* Impacts... hazardous travel.

* Winds... becoming northwest at 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20
mph Wednesday night into Thursday.

* Temperatures... in the upper 30s and lower 40s early today... then
falling into the 20s tonight. Little change expected for Thursday.
