Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 4:07 PM EST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 am EST
Wednesday...

* locations... Maryland's Eastern Shore... Delaware and southern
New Jersey

* accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

* Timing... periods of snow late today will be briefly moderate
before tapering to flurries later tonight. Heaviest snow and
greatest evening hazard impact should be near the Interstate 95
corridor.

* Impacts... accumulating snow will affect travel through tonight.
The Road conditions will likely deteriorate during times of
heavier snowfall rates later today. Remember... bridges and
other elevated surfaces tend to become slippery first. Icy
stretches of untreated pavement are likely to persist through
sunrise Wednesday.

* Temperatures... in the lower to mid 30s falling into the upper
20s late at night.

* Winds... light northeast turning west 5 to 10 mph with gusts up
to 20 mph toward dawn.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.

Report snow and ice accumulation to the National Weather Service
by calling our trained spotter line... posting to the NWS Mount
Holly facebook Page... or using twitter @nws_mountholly.

Snowfall and ice accumulation forecast maps in addition to
experimental probabilistic snowfall information for the latest
event are available online at www.Weather.Gov/phi/winter

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:48 PM EST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM EST this
afternoon...

* location... the tidal Delaware River and its tidal tributaries.

* Coastal flooding... minor flooding is anticipated.

* Timing... high tide will finish working its way up the tidal
Delaware River by 400 PM.

* Impacts... localized roadway flooding is expected. Some roads
may be closed due to high water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is
expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some Road
closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood.

Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to
costly repairs.

For a list of the impact of different tide heights in your County
please go to www.Weather.Gov/phi/tides (all in lower case).
