southern Westchester County in southeastern New York...

* until 600 PM EDT

* at 434 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are
occurring with this activity. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall
will cause ponding of water in urban areas... highways... streets
and underpasses as well as other poor drainage areas and low lying
spots. In addition... flooding of small creeks and streams... as
well as farm and country roads is possible as well.

Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate
routes. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
