evening...

* locations... coastal Connecticut... interior parts of northeast
New Jersey... and Rockland and Westchester counties in New York.

* Hazard types... snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 5 inches.

* Timing... snow... moderate at times this morning into early
afternoon... before tapering off this afternoon.

* Visibilities... one half mile or less at times.

* Temperatures... mid 30s early this morning... dropping into the
lower 20s by this afternoon.

* Impacts... hazardous travel conditions due to falling
temperatures and Road icing... reduced visibilities and
accumulating snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

light to moderate snow developing over the region. Between 1 to 2
inches of snow is possible by 8 am.

With visibilities dropping to 1/2 mile at times... and temperatures
dropping below freezing through 8 am... deteriorating Road conditions
can be expected.

Motorists should exercise extreme caution this morning.
