* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
southwestern Oxford County in western Maine...
northwestern York County in southwestern Maine...
west central Cumberland County in southwestern Maine...
northeastern Carroll County in northern New Hampshire...

* until 330 PM EDT

* at 239 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated a line of severe
thunderstorms capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging
winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line
extending from near Fryeburg to near Hiram... and moving southeast
at 15 mph.

* Locations impacted include...
Conway... Bridgton... Fryeburg... Buxton... Hollis... Hiram...
Effingham... Cornish... Standish... Limington... Limerick... Bartlett...

The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* small stream Flood Advisory for...
central Carroll County in northern New Hampshire...

* until 345 PM EDT

* at 139 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to one and a half inches of rain has already
fallen in some spots.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
ossipeee... Tamworth and Freedom.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as roads. Do not attempt to travel
across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
