Dense Fog Advisory
Statement as of 5:35 AM CST on November 12, 2009
... Dense fog advisory in effect until 8 am CST this morning...
The National Weather Service in Norman has expanded the dense fog
advisory to include a larger part of north central... central...
and south central Oklahoma. The advisory is in effect until 8 am
CST this morning.
Dense fog will reduce visibility in some areas to a quarter mile
or less. The fog will be intermittent and patchy in many areas...
which will create hazardous driving conditions due to the
possibility of sudden reductions in visibility. Most of the fog
will be west of Interstate 35... but the fog will spread farther
east into south central Oklahoma south of the Arbuckles. The fog
will lift by around mid morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
