930 PM...the collision of boundaries along the East Coast has allowed for development of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms this evening. Conditions remain favorable for short- lived funnel clouds...especially in activity along the Treasure Coast. Movement is slow toward the East Coast and expect a few cells to move across the intracoastal waters and the very near shore waters of the western Atlantic. A few of the cells will continue to be strong with the main threats of frequent cloud to ground lightning... gusty winds to 40 mph and locally heavy rainfall 2 to 3 inches in a relatively short time...causing ponding of water on roadways and flooding of poorly drained and low-lying areas. When out this evening...be sure to remain alert to changing weather conditions and seek shelter inside a sturdy building at the first sign of threatening weather.
