... A significant winter storm will impact the region late Wednesday
night and Thursday...

A strong cold front will move across the region by Wednesday
evening... with widespread precipitation expected north of the front
on Wednesday night and Thursday. As temperatures steadily fall... rain
will change to freezing rain across the area by Thursday morning.
Lingering light snow and flurries will be possible as colder air
moves into the region on Thursday morning.

Ice accumulations of one tenth to up to one quarter of an inch are
expected by Thursday morning. Snow accumulations will range from a
trace to around one half of an inch during the day on Thursday. In
addition to the precipitation... north winds of 10 to 15 mph will
create wind chills in the teens on Thursday morning. Residents of the
Tennessee Valley should begin preparations now for this significant
winter storm.
