---------------------------------------------------------------------
Rainfall warning for:
      Howe Sound
      Sunshine Coast.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
==Discussion==

A long episode of rain, at times heavy, is expected. The ground,
already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further
rainfall.

Heavy rainfall will continue tonight and Thursday after a brief
respite today. The heaviest amounts will be in Howe Sound where
further rainfall amounts of over 100 mm are expected through
Thursday evening. For the Sunshine Coast further amounts in excess
of 50 mm are expected through Thursday evening, with higher amounts
inland.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Avoid driving
through water on roads. Even shallow fast moving water across a Road
can sweep a vehicle or a person away. Don't approach washouts near
rivers, creeks and culverts.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
Please monitor local media or weatheradio. Email reports of severe
weather to pacificstorm(at)ec.Gc.CA or tweet with the hashtag (hash)bcstorm.
