A year ago on March 18, Marquette broke its all-time March record high at 78, and its low of 54 was 10 degrees warmer than any March low temperature the city had ever seen.
The city was also down to a trace of snow cover, having melted 47 inches of snow in two weeks.
This year, March 18 featured 3.3 inches of new snow, 40 inches on the ground, and a low of 11 degrees, 67 degrees colder than the record high of a year earlier.
