a low pressure system is expected to develope over northern Hudson
Bay Sunday and track into foxe basin and intensify. Northwesterly
winds are forecast to steadily increase in strength from Sunday into
Monday evening. By Monday evening north winds of 50 gusting to 70
km/h are expected to generate blizzard conditions which have the
potential to linger all day Tuesday.
A Winter Storm Watch is an alert of the potential development of
severe winter weather. Persons in or near these areas should be
prepared for developing adverse weather conditions and should listen
for updated watches and possible warnings.
