==Discussion==
a slow moving weather system will bring rain to much of southwestern
Alberta over the next few days. Rain has started to fall in the
Pincher creek, Okotoks, and kananaskis regions and will spread into
surrounding areas by Thursday. Heavy rain will then continue
throughout Friday before tapering off on Saturday. General amounts
of 40 to 75 millimetres are expected for the duration of the event
with the potential for some areas to see more than 100 millimetres.
Rainfall warnings are in effect for some regions and may be expanded
over the next 24 hours.
Higher elevations can expect to see the precipitation fall as heavy
snow. Snow levels may be as a low as 1800 metres.
The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as
warnings may be required or extended.
