Weather Underground Forecast for Friday, February 03, 2012. While tropical cyclone development is not anticipated in the tropical Atlantic Ocean on Friday, a few areas of active weather are expected in parts of the Caribbean Sea and Central America. Strong high pressure to the north of the Caribbean Sea will maintain strong to fresh trade winds across much of the Caribbean basin on Friday. Areas of broken low clouds and isolated showers may become embedded in this flow in the open waters of the sea. Meanwhile strong rain showers and thunderstorms will continue in the northwestern corner of the basin, especially along the coasts of Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize, and the Yucatan Peninsula. Precipitation and thunderstorms along these coasts will spread inland throughout the day. To the south, low pressure in northwestern Colombia will support generally light showers along the coasts of Panama and Costa Rica.
