Tropical cyclone development is not anticipated across the tropical Atlantic Ocean or Eastern Pacific Oceans on Monday. However, areas of active weather will develop in the Caribbean Sea and Latin America. In the north, the tail end of a cold front moves eastward and away from the Bahamas and Hispaniola, allowing for showers and thunderstorms to diminish over the region. At the same time, another front over the Southeastern U.S. will stretch into the northern Gulf of Mexico, bringing showers and thunderstorms to Florida and the Gulf coast. To the south, a tropical wave of low pressure over the northern Caribbean Sea will continue moving westward toward the Yucatan Peninsula throughout the day. Just to the south, an area of low pressure over the southwestern Caribbean Sea will continue pushing moisture into Central America. These systems combined will create a broad area of shower and thunderstorm activity from Panama through Guatemala and the Yucatan Peninsula.
