==Discussion==

Hazardous winter conditions are expected. Significant amounts of
snow are expected.

A low pressure system approaching the Maritimes tonight will track
across Nova Scotia on Thursday. Snow at times heavy will develop
across much of New Brunswick this evening before tapering off on
Thursday afternoon. Total snowfall amounts of 30 to 40 centimetres
are expected with this system but could possibly reach 50
centimetres over parts of Southeast New Brunswick. Additionally
strong northerly winds developing along areas adjacent to the Gulf
of St Lawrence will cause blowing snow over those regions for much
of Thursday morning.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Public
safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get
an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid
kit and a flashlight. For information on emergency plans and kits go
to http://www.Getprepared.Gc.CA/

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
