Watches/warnings in effect for southern Ontario...
Severe Thunderstorm Warning for:
Kaladar - Bannockburn - Bon Echo Park.
At 4:10 PM weather radar indicated a heavy thunderstorm in the
vicinity of cloyne and moving very slowly to the east. It is
expected to affect the communities of Myers cave and Harlowe up
to 5 PM. Torrential rainfall of 50 mm is the main concern with
this storm. Large hail and strong winds are also possible.
This is a warning that severe thunderstorms are imminent or
occurring in these regions. Remember some severe thunderstorms
produce tornadoes..listen for updated warnings. Emergency
management Ontario recommends taking cover immediately when
threatening weather approaches.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning for:
Westport - Charleston Lake
Merrickville-Wolford - kemptville.
At 3:20 PM weather radar indicated a cluster of heavy
thunderstorms in the vicinity of Rocksprings. They are nearly
stationary or moving very slowly northeastwards. They are
likely generating torrential rainfall rates with rainfall
totals of 50 to 75 mm. They will affect communities from
Merrickville to Roebuck by 4:15 PM.
This is a warning that severe thunderstorms are imminent or
occurring in these regions. Remember some severe thunderstorms
produce tornadoes..listen for updated warnings. Emergency
management Ontario recommends taking cover immediately when
threatening weather approaches.

a slow-moving disturbance affecting the lower Great Lakes is
generating clusters of thunderstorms over south-central and eastern
Ontario into Cottage country. A few of these storms are capable of
producing heavy rainfall of 50 to locally 75 mm. Isolated storms may
support large hail to 3 cm and brief strong wind gusts as well.
Brief funnel clouds may also form with a touch down possible.
Waterspouts are also possible over large water bodies.

The heavy thunderstorms have weakened. Although sporadic heavy
downpours are still occurring..the threat of persistent
torrential rain has eased.
