Watches/warnings in effect for northern Alberta...
Severe Thunderstorm Warning for:
=new= City of Edmonton - St. Albert - Sherwood Park
=new= Parkland County near Stony Plain Spruce Grove and Enoch
=new= Sturgeon County near Riviere Qui Barre and Villeneuve
=new= Sturgeon County near Morinville Volmer and Big Lake.
At 3:20 PM MDT a line of strong thunderstorms from Spruce
Grove to 40 km north of Spruce Grove is observed on the
lightning detection network. The storms are moving eastward at
40 km/h. Grape size hail has been reported with the storms near
Busby. Large hail and strong winds are the main threat with
these storms.
This is a warning that severe thunderstorms are imminent or
occurring in these regions. Remember that some severe
thunderstorms produce tornadoes. Listen for updated warnings.
