=new= Vaudreuil - Soulanges - Huntingdon
=new= Richelieu valley - Saint-Hyacinthe
=new= Lachute - Saint-Jerome
=new= Lanaudiere.

Through Friday morning
The weather conditions will be favorable to a deterioration in air
quality.
Everyone can help improve air quality with simple gestures, like
restricting the use of wood stoves and fireplaces and favoring public
transportation or car pooling.
Smog affects mostly Young asthmatic children and people with
respiratory or heart conditions. These people should therefore reduce
their level of outdoor physical activity until the smog warning is
cancelled.

Wood heating is responsible for near 61 % of particles contributing
to smog. This activity is generating the heaviest amount of these
particles, and then the Industrial activities with 22 %, car driving
with 14 % and various other sources with 3 %.
This warning is issued jointly by Environment Canada, the ministere

ministere de la sante et des services sociaux, the direction de sante
publique de l agence de la sante et des services sociaux de Montreal
