Forest fires over northern Saskatchewan continue to burn. Smoke
from these fires have made its way into southern and western
Manitoba as northwest winds in the upper levels of the atmosphere
transports this smoke southward. Visibilities may be reduced
at times overnight in some areas but the most dominant effect
will be the hazy skies and the red appearance to the sun
especially at sunrise and sunset. A more westerly flow is
expected on Saturday thus the smoke will not be as prevalent as
it will be today and tonight.
Further details follow in the next regular public forecast
at 4.00 PM CDT.
