==Discussion==

Blizzard conditions with gusty winds and persistent visibility near
zero in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring.

Dangerous blizzard developing Monday afternoon with 70 gusting to 90
km/h winds.

A rapidly developing low pressure system in the Labrador Sea
continues to track northward toward Davis Strait. As the low
approaches CLyde River on Monday, falling snow accompanied by winds
of 70 gusting to 90 km/h are expected to develop Monday afternoon.
Dangerous blizzard conditions of persistent near zero visibilities
accompanied by wind chill values of -45 are expected at that time
and will continue through Monday night into Tuesday.

Conditions are anticipated to improve Tuesday morning or afternoon
as the low moves off into Baffin Bay.

Blizzard warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of
400 metres or less are expected for at least 6 hours.

Travel is expected to be extremely hazardous due to widespread poor
visibility. If you do travel and become lost, remain where you are
until the blizzard has passed. Protect yourself from wind, cold and
disorientation by staying sheltered, indoors or with your vehicle.
Public safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan
and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a
first-aid kit and a flashlight. For information on emergency plans
and kits go to http://www.Getprepared.Gc.CA/

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
