A chain of disturbance will produce unsettled weather conditions in parts of eastern Asia on Tuesday. A pair of low pressure systems will push across southern Japan, spreading moisture into the Kyushu, Shikoku, and southern Honshu. Widely scattered rain showers with periods of heavy rainfall are expected to form in these region throughout the day. Colder nighttime temperatures will allow rain to changeover into snow in parts of central Honshu. As these systems pass to the east, an associated frontal boundary will extend from the nearby western Pacific through Kyushu and the East China Sea and into central-eastern China. Moisture pooling along this stalled boundary will lead to continued rain showers in Kyushu and showers near the front from Shanghai through Changshu. To the south, relatively mild and humid conditions will persist over southeastern China and Taiwan. To the north, a low pressure system will develop over Hokkaido by Tuesday night with chances of snow showers.

For Australia, onshore winds will pick up along the eastern coast of the nation as high pressure becomes positioned in the Tasman Sea. Expect periods of increased cloudiness and chances of showers along the coasts of Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. As high pressure moves into the Tasman Sea, a strong storm system will reach New Zealand with widely scattered showers and thunderstorms.
