A few areas of wet weather will persist in parts of eastern Asia on Friday. In northern Asia, continued west-northwest flow will spread moisture across northern Honshu and Hokkaido. Moist flow will translate into increased cloud cover with chances of snow showers in northwestern Honshu and Hokkaido. Low morning clouds in northeastern Honshu are expected to burn off during the afternoon. Behind this activity, high pressure will continue to dominate northeastern China, the Korean Peninsula, and southern Japan with dry and calm conditions.

To the south, chances of showers will continue from parts of the Guangxi province through Fujian province. The northeast monsoon will also keep cold weather over China with locally chilly temperatures in the morning.

For Australia, several troughs of low pressure will remain the main weather features of western, northern, and eastern Australia. Expect rain and thunderstorms to form along the coasts of Victoria and New South Wales and in Tasmania through the day. A few clusters of showers will also become possible in inland Queensland during the latter half of the day. Additional storms should be anticipated along the northern coast of the nation, while a few showers near Perth taper down during the day. High pressure in the Great Australian Bight will provide dry conditions elsewhere.
