In the Tropics, Tropical Cyclone Jasmine and Tropical Cyclone Cyril in the South Pacific will continue to move southeast Thursday. No major landmass will be affected by these two systems. For the lastest tropical information, please visit http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/.

In northern Asia, a large low pressure pressure system well to the east of Japan with its cold front extending southwestward through southern Japan will continue to bring unsettled weather across Japan Thursday. Light precipitation will be possible mainly over northern and western parts of Hokkaido and Honshu. A chance of showers is expected in Kyushu and Ryukyu Islands as the front becomes nearly stationary in the region. Farther south, scattered rain showers will also continue in Taiwan and southeastern China. Much of the eastern China and the Korea Peninsula will remain dry under a ridge of high pressure.

Over Australia, a trough of low pressure will remain over eastern Australia Thursday, keeping scattered showers and thunderstorms going across eastern New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Farther north, moist onshore flow will trigger a few showers and thunderstorms over the Queensland coast.
