The weather pattern across Europe will start to shift on Monday, but cold and breezy conditions will continue. A low pressure system spinning in the Mediterranean Sea finally advances northeastward and into eastern Europe. This will bring snow and freezing rain showers eastward with it, bringing a break in wet weather to the countries surrounding the Adriatic Sea. A cold front extending southward from this system will kick up more rain showers over Greece and Turkey. Athens will be cloudy with scattered rain showers and highs in the upper 50s(F)/ mid-teens(C).

Behind this system, a weak ridge of high pressure will extend into the central Mediterranean Sea from a large and dominant ridge spinning in the North Atlantic Ocean. This will spread over the British Isles, through western France, and down the Iberian Peninsula, bringing dry and sunny conditions. This will allow for temperatures to slightly rise over the region. Rome will see partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 40s(F)/ near 5(C), while Barcelona will see sunny skies with highs near 50(F)/ 10(C). London and Dublin will be partly cloudy with high sin the mid-40s(F)/ near 6(C).

To the north, a trough of low pressure will slide down the eastern edge of the strong high pressure ridge. This trough will gain moisture from the Norwegian Sea and push a cold front into Norway. The front will move through Scandinavia, triggering widespread snow showers throughout the day, while the tail end of the front will reach into Germany, Belgium, and northern France. Expect snowy conditions in Oslo with highs in the upper 20s(F)/ near -8(C). Munich and Paris will see snow showers developing by evening, with increasingly cloudy skies during the day and highs in the upper 30s(F)/ near 3(C). .
